WELCOME TO THE 12TH ANNUAL ADELAIDE CABARET FESTIVAL
Quirky and unique, the art form of cabaret has created a safe haven for those artists who generally escape definition, artists who enjoy the “up close and personal” nature of a live audience and who thrive on the challenge of presenting work that provokes and inspires.
Adelaide Cabaret Festival has an outstanding reputation both locally and internationally, proof of the amount of time and passion poured into it since its inception. To all my predecessors I tip my hat.
This year artists from around the world have been invited to Adelaide to disturb us, provoke us, be wild and fabulous. As a result we have gathered a diverse bunch of charismatic raconteurs, entrancing musicians and Broadway chanteuses.

The Flinders Ranges and Kangaroo Island are unique and spectacular. They are on the Australian National Landscapes register as places as of great cultural, natural and spiritual significance. World Heritage Listed caves are found at Naracoorte on the Limestone Coast.
The South Australian coastline is over 3,800 kilometres long and is punctuated by towns, beaches, cliffs and jetties. Many coastal regions offer a brilliant blend of wine and fresh produce, including local seafood.

The Pay Office Cottage offers one queen size bed with an ensuite bathroom , kitchenette facilities, air conditioning and a lounge area with open fireplace - perfect for a romantic getaway for two...The cottage was built in the 1850's from local slate and was originally used as the pay office for the local slate quarry which was owned by Thompson Priest, who also built and lived in Thompson's Residence.....Provisions for cooked country breakfast are included along with a complimentary bottle of Reilly's Wine. South Australia’s V8 Supercar event, the Clipsal 500 Adelaide, is staged on the Adelaide Street Circuit, a temporary track laid out through the streets and parklands to the east of the Adelaide CBD. The southern part of the state has a Mediterranean climate.[13] South Australia's main temperature range is 29 °C (84 °F) in January and 15 °C (59 °F) in July. Daily temperatures in parts of the state in January and February can be up to 48 °C (118 °F).
The highest maximum temperature was recorded as 50.7 °C (123.3 °F) at Oodnadatta on 2 January 1960, which is also the highest official temperature recorded in Australia. The lowest minimum temperature was −8 °C (17.6 °F) at Yongala on 20 July 1976.
