It's all about accessing your digital music collection from any computer, without needing to move huge amounts of data. Although I couldn't directly access local libraries, I could see them in the Library area, and share them. Spotify has Facebook integration, so any of your Facebook friends who have also connected their accounts to the service will appear in your People list if you opt-in. I could post music links to my Facebook wall, as well as to Twitter.
