This stupid bill is nothing more than the MPAA attempting to write legislation to prop up their failing business model. Adapt or die movie industry! Creating a blacklist of sites which are claimed to infringe copyright will never work. Just look at how well email spam filter blacklists have worked.

This bill is a good reminder to people living in a free country that you better fight for your right to/of free speech, because there are always people waiting in the wings to take it away.

Such a shame that while this gets so much press, the n.d.a.a. Is almost not mentioned. I guess we don't mind turning into a military police star as long as we have Internet

The bill proposes forcing ISPs to block access to web pages. lol... yes... for many people, that is the only way they have of getting illegal things... but there is still limewire (which is back by the way), IRC, DC++, and many other ways of distributing files.

I've got mixed feelings about SOPA, but, ultimately, I don't see how this can be good.

I thought this was a 'free' country. If this passes, we're going to have to drop that freedom, and I'm not willing to do that.
