So late last week, I get into the work of a British crime writer called Derek Raymond and find out that he published a notoriously hard-to-find autobiography back in 1992. I look for it online and discover that used copies of it are retailing for about $100.

"Ah well," I think to myself, "I won't be reading that any time soon."

Or so I thought until I walk into a local bookshop this morning and what's staring at me as soon as I walk in the door? Nothing less than a pristine copy of the early nineties paperback retailing for $10.

Suffice it to say, it was snapped up in no time.
