The Culling... gettin' culled and stuff...

Issue #9: The Culling: Conclusion. The Culling affair was pretty lackluster. It seemed lihe a pretty forced crossover event with the end result being status quo maintained.

#6... Even the connector issues are great. Dizamn. Paced a lil clunky with a lotta stuff going on in a single issue. Bart gets his 3rd freakin' outfit! lol

nostalgiafactor My favorite thing in comics right now is Fantastic Four and FF. Gonna miss the hell out of Johnathan Hickman.

Christopher Hickman has taken the FF to a whole new level. I've only skipped because the F4/FF have never been my fave characters... Not enough violence for me, I guess? But I tell you what, Scott Lobdell & Brent Booth have taken this team I woulda passed on if not for preordering nearly all of TheNew52's 1st 10 issues and have me turnin' pages, laughing, talking to myself, & smiling. It really clicked for me in #3... That one had me carrying that one around the house while I did other crap cuz I couldn't put it down!

Love the 1st double-page spread with the numbered Kid Flash sequence!! Hope to see more of him like that. It really expresses how fast the Speedsters are when drawn like that. Bunker is an interesting new character... I see he brings some humor to the team. Good stuff! It's staying in my pull!

Tshirts, posters, bobbleheads, etc... lol Especially in the teen hero books! I mean, you don't see people walking around with T's that sport the AlQueda or Taliban logos... or many Chicago Blackhawks jerseys in Detroit. Jus'sayin'!

I downloaded it &read it last night out of curiosity but the new costumes were so distracting and so unlike the original characters - I don't like these changes.

Teen Titans #2. Does Wondergirl have a mom?
              • Christopher
Christopher It's a brief discussion... they're sitting at a cafe in street clothes and she accuses Tim of staring at her breasts, but he explains how he's wonder how she keeps her bracelets invisible. She goes on for a few sentences about how she came about them. I'm not sure I appreciate how MOODY they made her & kind of a bitch... Plus, I love Booth's art, but they gave Cassie ugly ass man-arms! Yeah, yer way ahead of me in readin,' buddy! 5 months or so... but ya see I'm reading them in bundles, and keeping up with the latest issues of titles I most recently read... I'm considering dropping all my Marvel titles from my pull and keeping my 40+ DC titles & my indies. I still haven't finished Fear Itself!! lol When they canceled Moon Knight, that was sorta the straw cliche, but life without my beloved Avengers? The 1st title I really "collected" as a kid, along with all it's spin-offs. How many titles would you say you pull per month? Just curious.

Qotal Roughly 35 DC, 40 Marvel, and a couple smaller things. I mostly read digitally on my iPad, and buy singles and TPBs of the series I really enjoy. I'm taking a break from GetGlue at the moment because the real world is pretty distracting.

Christopher Hopefully good distracting? I've only read back issues digitally. Had some probs with my Comixology reader on my Windows Phone. It cuts off some of the book. I'm missing the last 4 page of Infinite Crisis #1. Pissed. I can see them on my laptop, I guess, but that's not how I wanted to read it. I have bought the first 7 issues of Dark Horse Presents and the Chimichanga by Eric Powell 1shot on the @tfaw DHDigital Portal. Pretty nice system, but haven't read them yet. You read all the Spidey & Mutant titlles in your Marvel pull pretty much?

The New 52 relaunch of Teen Titans kicks off today. Wonder how DC is gonna cock this one up? Odds are they replace Kid Flash with a talking marmoset packing a Green Lantern ring.
