Reading about LBJ in Apr 2 issue. Before JFK was assasinated it was looking like LBJ might be embroiled in pay-to-play scandal and be dropped from ticket as VP in '64 election.

The April 16 issue has a timely article about how the myth of the Titanic has been perpetuated through the mass media. The travel issue also features a great cover with the back end of a PT Cruiser.

Excellent article by Adam Gopnik on Camus. I relate so much to Camus on political questions. "Camus called the tendency to dehumanize those who stood in the way of history the problem of abstraction."

The April 2 issue has a piece by Robert A Caro on Nov. 22, 1963, through LBJ's eyes. Life magazine was about to publish an article about the then-VP and some shady-looking business deals. There was a Congressional hearing on the matter that very morning. Then Oswald went and shot the President.
