Career assessment & aptitude tests say I would be an excellent theoretical physicist.

I can calculate 3 oranges but it dont mean there are 3 oranges. we have the numbers for things that may not exist. goes for the economy too....lol

After the recent news that being a mathematician is the best job in the US, next month’s Popular Science magazine has come out with a list of the worst jobs, not overall, but in the sciences. “Theoretical Physicist” makes the list, right in between “Monkey-Sex Observer” and “Vermin Handler”. Here’s the text about this:

For much of the past century, physics was an exciting, wide-ranging exploration. But to be a theoretical physicist today, you pretty much have to stake your career on one incredibly popular but pretty much unprovable notion: string theory. Since the idea that the universe is composed of small vibrating “strings” gained a following in the 1970s, the theory, which in some forms posits 10 dimensions and seeks a unifying “supersymmetry,” has captured the theoretical-physics community in the U.S. The easiest way to earn an appointment is to dive head-first into a branch of string theory, which dominates the top programs at Princeton, MIT and ...

In the study of Theoretical Physics this looks like an ancient astronaut drawing. it is a quantum theory calculation. WTH??? What happened to numbers? No wonder I never took algebra....

For this weeks picture we have a black hole and this is the basis of almost all theoretical physics. They are obsessed with black holes. . So enjoy the theory of the black hole which does exist, so I don't think it's theory anymore. Perhaps now they are figuring out how they got there. I say by design. That is my theory this week.

My theory this week is that nothing makes much sense in the long run. It is all crap. Next week i may have a better theory, meanwhile prove me wrong or I am right!!!

Hey I feel a little cheated here. No Twitter tab??? What if I want to tweet about quantum physics and theoretical science???? They actually have a book I suggested called GET THIS "Quantum Physics for Dummies" I could be wrong here, but I'm pretty sure there is no way to dummy that subject down. then again I never passed 4th grade math. REALLY there is such a book and i can't tweet it. Theoretically I may be pissed off

added relevant info (I think) In theory I did...picture is from the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Zürich. or so they say, but it might be just a theory..... ponder that

So this is gonna be my new job, cuz I make up whatever crap I want to add a bunch of squiggles on a chalkboard and call it a theory... Whatever. easier job than being a senator perhaps....
