Mummy @mimist yes, that's my baby. She's just fourteen months old, and my son just turned four. I'm doing the best I can, along with my husband, to raise them as tolerant, kind accepting people. I hope for the best for their future, but I fear it's merely a pipe dream. I'd like to thank you for being out there fighting for women's rights in the years before I was born. If there weren't brave young girls and women who had fought against centuries of oppression and paternalism, I wouldn't have had the opportunities I've been afforded in my lifetime. It's so sad to see people rallying around the idea of taking us backward. I never had to worry about birth control, back alley abortions leading to infection and death, discrimination in education, careers, etc. You did so much for the girls of my generation, even if it was those who simply said "This is madness. I won't put up with this any longer!" I'm fortunate that my dad was a history teacher, so I was taught well about what women had dealt... -

Mummy That's my goal, to teach them to be good people. If I do that, I'll feel I've done my job as a mother.
