There are more women than men in this country. Why is it that we are still treated like second class citizens who have to ask permission of some male if we choose to do something. And what hurts us the most are other women. Do they honestly believe they were put on earth to serve?

Okay, Obama has mentioned equal pay for equal work & insurance companies charging women more... What's up?

I am so tired of this oh my god. I hate DBQs, they make me hate random things in history.

Women's rights..........I hope this site could be supported by everyone...not just women...mothers...working women...disabled....but ALL people! We all deserve to be treated equally.

That was Margaret Mead's conclusion after a lifetime of observing very diverse cultures around the world. Her insight has been borne out time and again throughout the development of this country of ours. Being allowed to live life in an atmosphere of religious freedom, having a voice in the government you support with your taxes, living free of lifelong enslavement by another person. These beliefs about how life should and must be lived were once considered outlandish by many.

Aren't they still worth being fought for? Younger generations must get involved, too. If you understood the work that past generations did to get you to the rights women have today, it's time you take it upon your shoulders to carry on ....for your children & grandchildren.
