It's good to see this network finally start to come into its own, even with the ridiculous name change. I was afraid for a while that it wouldn't survive.

Shawn Taffe @vecchio_bello very good point I remember at least 10 years ago when I was 13, there was nothing interesting about the Sci FI channel. But they are now keeping up with public demand and owning it big time with their great shows, my favorite have become monster man, fact or faked, destination truth, face off and being human

Brooke Bavaro Coleman @alcc They (the network) said that they wanted to update their image/marketing, come across as more modern, and expand people's perceptions of the station (although SyFy still = Sci Fi, some I'm not sure what they meant, even though they do have shows that aren't really science fiction!), something to that effect. I remember reading a couple articles about it before they made the change, and that was the gist of it. -
