FanConey Island. As much as I love this series from PBS, this episode is strangely dull and slow-moving.

that's messed up the the Jewish athletes weren't allowed to compete
-
Edith McDonald @whatthefrenchtoast> I know, right? But think about this -the Nazis didn't kill too many people of color, as a matter of fact almost none in comparison with the Japanese, in their quest to kill every Jewish person on the planet. -
Ginnette Yes Edith that is true like they said they hated Blacks but they hated Jews more... my God.... -
Edith McDonald That kind of hate is so illogical, that there is and never will be any reason to it.

The German people cheered for Jesse Owens!
-
Edith McDonald @whatthefrenchtoast> But would they have cheered for a Jew? -
Ginnette I dunno... but it is messed up that the Jewish athletes weren't allowed to compete... the hate is sad it reminds me of Munich 1972... -
Edith McDonald Totally messed up. Sometimes I don't think that we, as a human race, has neither learned nor remembered diddly shit. There are still people who hate other people for their religion, nationality, or skin tone. I swear, I'm so feed up with people asking me is my son mine, I'm ready to make t-shirts!

CarolynHM Little did they know... But Americans were as oblivious in 2008. Bernanke was oddly focused on *inflation* then, WTH. -
Valerie Seckler It was almost like fiddling while Rome burned. Rather than hedging or managing their bets, investors kept passing along investments that were short of enough assets to back them up. Then in 2007 the bill came due. -
CarolynHM And, how about the Housing Bubble? Banks handing out mortgages they knew homebuyers couldn't afford. All that passing of worthless debt paper all over the world. These worthless mortgages never should have been allowed!
