Host Dan Rather presents hard-edged field reports, in-depth interviews and investigative pieces that emphasize accuracy, fairness and guts in their reporting. The program covers topics including, but not limited to, politics, the environment, the global economy, and international affairs and conflicts. Dan Rather Reports format is dictated by the needs of individual stories -- each show typically consists of multiple stories, but some shows are devoted to a single, hour-long report.
Live panel discussion was awesome: Don Cheadle, William H. Macy, Ed Helms, & Linda Wallen. Dan Rather was pretty shakey, haven't seen him in awhile. That was not so easy to watch. :\
"Finnish first" - many things to admire about Finland's education system, but average class size of 20 students and two teachers in each classroom go a long way.
This episode is about the top school system in the world. The Finnish schools. All teachers have at least masters degrees and are on par with doctors and lawyers. Amazing.
"The New Space Race". Meh. Aired over the summer but the first time since the end of the Shuttle program that I can watch. It's so political; NASA wants to go further but we're not allowed :(
Take a Lesson From Singapore. This has me tearing-up over how crummy our education system is and how little, in-deed, our society values it. First thing to get funding cuts... :(
