What happens when you take three families and transplant them to an unfamiliar place and a different time when modern-day conveniences to which they've grown accustomed didn't exist? In this PBS reality-TV-style series based loosely on one produced by the BBC, participants live as if they were homesteaders in 1883. Will they survive the harsh conditions? What will they discover about themselves?
I DVR'd this over the weekend. I thought it would be a good idea to learn how to survive without all the modern conveniences, should this world go to hell in a handbasket one day.
Just finished watching the second dvd from this PBS mini series. It was really good. It's only 6 episodes and I highly recommend it. Next up, Colonial House.
