I'm seeing a pattern on this show. Sleazy, morally corrupt lawyers (except Alicia) pared w/desperate (usually) innocent criminals. Practically every lawyer that enters this show is so morally bankrupt, it's kinda sickening. I wait for some scene of regret especially from SOMEBODY in the defenders office (who always lose big, because they are usually WRONG). None of these characters ever get their cummupance. David Lee, Derik Bond, Louis Canning, Patty Nyholm, Viola Walsh, Dana Lodge, Celeste Serrano, Mike Kresteva etc. etc.. ALL horrible people. None suffer REMOTELY (well, except Derik which was AWESOME). I remember an old LA Law episode where Grace Van Owen out of nowhere got SHOT in the hallway by a gang banger. When will obnoxious Patty Nyholm get shot? Or Viola? Or Mike? A shooter! Please! Somebody? Anyway, still love the show. It's not making me love lawyers though.

I just watched the rerun on tv tonight.. It's when Eli runs the Wisteria Cheese campaign? Anyway, what struck me was this was the moment when it becomes clear to the audience Alicia doesn't love Will. She says this to her brother (who is craving any kind of drama, partly because he feels boring, he wants to alleviate that with something exciting, and he is desperate for her to confide in him) and he says it's good because "That would make things complicated." I get the feeling that Alicia never fell out of love for her husband, and I know he loves her more now that he's seen her.. thrive, or something. But her feelings towards him are more complicated, and it feels like they were never together sometimes, like Alicia treats him the way Jacie accuses her of treating him, like Alician has too much power or something and doesn't know how to use it.

I've to finish the 3rd season....
