Iain Stewart hosts this fascinating exploration of Earth's long history. But instead of highlighting humankind's influence on the planet, the program looks at the planet itself and how changes in climate and geology have affected humankind. With the aid of stunning HD camerawork, the series paints a vibrant picture of our world -- and the often-unseen role it can play in determining our activities.

Yay! I'm so glad to see this series hosted by a real geologist and not just some celeb, etc. Geologists don't get very much recognition compared to the physicists, etc., that are normally featured (or hosts) on these types of shows. My other favorite is, "On Volcanoes of the World," hosted by Guy de Saint-Cyr. Too bad getglue doesn't have a listing for that show.
