A very superficial look at a complex and fascinating man and his (and his company's) deep & wide-ranging story. A pity, really, but it's clearly a product of its time and medium: 21st century broadcast news. I mean, Touré and a Vanity Fair editor as talking heads? Michio Kaku? Joe "Slime Bucket" Nocera as pretty much the only tech writer (apart from Deutschman, the only veritable Jobs expert, of course)? The MythBusters' flattest delivery ever? Overall, a rush job of a disappointment.

              Running commentary:
              * WTF? The iPod turned people on to music piracy and Napster?
              * iTunes effing wiped out Tower Records? Are you insane?
              * Really, the iPhone introduces the world to apps?!
              * Stevie Wonder's segment is really sweet.

Regardless of all its faults though, this special expresses something I wanted to say ever since I learned of his passing: Thank you, Steve. The world is a better place for you having lived in it. Stay hungry, stay foolish.

Some of the comments by people interviewed are almost laughable esp. the Japanese theoritical physicist. We dont even describe God or the wonder of god's creations like they do.
