Terrica Skaggs @kathy_flaherty8332 I agree I was very shocked that someone with so much experience and having written that book is so timid and allows herself to be portrayed as a high tea hostess as opposed to a serious commentator or thinker. She lost all credibility to me.

Kathleen Francis @SheSingsNow First two reasons: Iraq & Afghanistan. Others: Syrian military is big & robust; most of the following are compared to Libyan conflict- no clear group to assist; no support from Russia- not unified int'l opposition; no relatively small, defined area to protect/defend... And IMHO, we need nation-building here, in the US- not one more @&!?$ occupation in the Mideast.

Stacey I have to say that I enjoy the intelligent debates on both sides of the political aisle in the mornings. When he first started being the "more often used" fill-in when this time slot opened up around 2006 (?) I was determined to not watch. (I already wasn't watching the a-hole that used to be in that time slot's.) But I found myself won over when he had on lots of liberals and let them speak and actually admitted quite often that he agreed with them and that he thought Bush was doing a terrible job, he was hopeful for Obama, etc., and I started to think for a while that Mika and Willie were turning him into a moderate Democrat. It's changed since then, but I still have hope and really enjoy the open discussions from both sides using genuine intellects; I think we all learn more if we know the rhetoric of both sides. But I do miss the Joe of the Bush era - we almost made him liberal! Ha, ha. -
reddevilsfan8332 @staceyau lately joe has been ranting & raving a little more than usual - plus they haven't been running that promo about it being the goto morning show any more. Wonder if the ratings have been going down lately. Discussions used to be a little more calm & rational - lately especially with Joe's tendency (more than other people) to interrupt and talk over people it's getting to be like every other show. Maybe I might actually finally start going to the gym before work lol

Kathleen Francis I only catch the first half-hourish part of the show, which sometimes is sports & fluff, other days stomping his feet- like today; he was pretty much beating the Syrian war drum before I finished filling my coffee thermos! I can only imagine how the remaining 2.75 hours went... :p
