I just watched "PBS Indies: Power Trip" about the energy crisis in the republic of Georgia around the turn of the (most recent) century. I have come to a more refined conclusion supporting capitalist societies: whether your country is capitalist or socialist, wherever there are people involved, there is still going to be corruption...the question is do you want reside in a place that is corrupt with little chance of improving your life or do you want to reside in a place that offers freedoms and legitimate chances to improve your situation.
