Jason The good news: It's being re-translated by the person responsible for the majority of the SA translations (the awful announcer dub will be an option, but one that nobody in their right minds will use). And it will have three more challenges than Kotaku had (most notably Shiren The Wanderer, which has not been translated before).
The bad news: barring any unlikely surprises, it's just the challenges, no Tama-ge or other segments. This is how the DVDs are done in Japan as well - it's a rights and clearances thing.
But the thing is: it's an official GCCX translation for the US, which is a thing I'd all but given up hope on, and I'm definitely going to buy it to support the fleeting chance that it won't be the last. -
