3 hours long, i found it to be surprisingly less bad than expected. Interesting high concept at the very least. I've seen worse from syfy! megashark, looking in your direction

The orginal "Riverworld" was better and they left it open for a sequeal. This is another movie with a slightly different story line.

So far I've just seen part 1. Can anyone tell me if the books are better? It just seems like there's an awful lot something missing.

Doug Marshall There is a lot missing- they changed a lot. But, frankly the books are too clunky and meandering for my taste.
