Chris Spizzirri It isn't about you having a different opinion that makes you an idiot, it's the ridiculousness of your comment that gave you away. If you were framing the debate as between higher or lower marginal tax rates, that's probably a valid distinction. But no one has suggested expanding the welfare state or food stamp program, as you insinuated. Your statement is an example of demagoguery, a rhetorical device used by those who lack a sound logical argument. In other words, it's obvious you *feel* strongly about the political choice but don't actually understand the issues. Good day. -
Christine "Open Heart & Mind" Well your an idiot because I dont *FEEL* strongly (your jumping to conclusions), I gathered *KNOWLEDGE* and made up my own mind about what makes sense and what does not. My research suggest that: Obama admires the Western Europe "Social Welfare" State, and is trying to introduce it here, but under the illusions of code words, of "fairness" ETC. To the average person this sounds good, but they do not realize how history shows how this kinds of things usually happen and how it turns out. Obama wants to raise taxes, pump up the size of government, more programs, etc... That sounds like a plan to get foodstamps; a plan I do not want. There is nothing ridiculous about my question, it actually is a very serious and important question. Its not my fault you didn't understand the question or understand the answers, or perhaps your very close-minded. Anyways, I don't need to explain myself further. If you don't understand something maybe you should find the answer yourself, instead of asking ... -

Christine YOU saying "GET RID OF THE GOP" Sounds negative to me. Especially in sharp contrast to "... LOVE ALL HARM NONE AND BECOME A TRUELY LOVING COUNTRY REACH OUT TO CUBA BECOME FRIENDS WITH IRAN NORTH KOREA THIS WORLD IS FULL OF RAINBOWS SO LOVE ONE ANOTHER." -
Inez Legg @christine_buckleymeents I just hate their wag the dog policies they show an evil hatered for the President Obama when he has tried to time & time again to work w/the GOP they refuse to look at the picture as a whole instead they cut it apart tear America apart. the refusal to work with Obama they find it easier to keep screwing up and point the finger @ the President. you do know the saying that everytime you point the finger @ someone there's 3 fingers and a thumb pointing back & you I do not wish death on the GOP I only want them to be put into their place it was a (the GOP thing-wanting them dead-) meant as a sick joke like what do you get when you through 1,000.00 lawyers into the ocean? answer a good start. -
Christine Your response is so full of Fallacies that I don't even know where to start. All I can say is that it sounds like you harbor a lot of anger and maybe it can be directed in the wrong direction. Use that energy for good! You seem like you want to learn and understand, and that is awesome. I would love to see you keeping your eyes, ears, and hearts open. Try to listen to as many different points of view as you can and withhold judgement. The more people and points of view you hear, the more you see the bigger picture. :)

So far I can't see anyone (besides the extremely rich) having an issue with what our President has said.
-
Christine I'm jobless, and poor, have no parents or family only my kids but I have many issues with what Obama said. Wow what a Sweeping Generalisation! -
Dana Brauckmann @christine_buckleymeents No sweeping generalization, just my opinion. You're in the 9% that didn't agree with what was discussed. That's fine. :) -
Christine OK, thank you for defining your statement. There are lots of people out there that have an issue or two with Obama. He has had very low approval ratings, so that must means a lot of people disapprove of him. One issue is the fact that Obama is planting the seed of class warfare in our heads, yet he says he wants all of us to work together. It seems like you have jumped on the "its us 99% crap or them 1% rich crap". I will not define myself or label myself to either side. I am open-mined, and do not want us to be distracted by hatred for those who have more money, thats not healthy. I'd rather focus on how I can better myself, my family, and my community. How about you?

To bad what Obama says and what he does are two very different things. It was a great speech but just that, words, his actions say another thing.

Inez Legg u r rite!! last nite Obama blew America out of the water. he's a very easy going and yet at the same time he's firm matter of fact and truthful honesty is the rarest of rare to find in Washington D.C. (especially these days) I find President Obama honest a true man of compassion life and love. he believes in America in a way I've never seen before (by any) President. the GOP use negative things to put it mildly they seem to think that Americans are really stupid or something to that effect. the GOP needs stopped. on Tuesday Boehner was yacking to the press that the GOP will be in office until @ least 2020 there's 35 seats up for grabs this year. Demmies like me are putting the word out to 1 person @ a time to keep the GOP from anymore seats.
