              this is a remarkable twist on the crime saga. it wads up the tired procedural narrative and focuses on an actual story - which spans years and covers the lives a deaths of numerous sympathetic characters (unlike the wire, primarily on the criminal side). it is wholly unique. my guess is it wont be long before the US has to bastardize it and milk it of greatness rather than actually come p with something decent of its own.

                Melissa LOL - yeh, there's some funny scenes, you kinda just sit there in disbelief that all of this really happened! ... No worries, I'm glad you're enjoying it. There's a few Aussie shows/movies that are a bit hit and miss - but this is a good one! Each season is unrelated and set in different eras, but season 1 and season 3 are set in this era and are the two best seasons, in my opinion ... There's also an Aussie movie called "Two Hands" that stars Heath Ledger, Rose Byrne and Bryan Brown - I definitely recommend it! If you like Underbelly, you'll like this movie! :)
