I can't believe there is any controversy around Sunday's program. The discussion was fair and respectful. Hero is one of those words that is so overused it's starting to lose its meaning. A person does not become a hero simply by choosing to go to war. Surely the actions of the individual soldier once s/he arrives are what makes the determination. As far as I'm concerned, there was absolutely no reason Chris Hayes should have felt the need to apologize.

I'd be interested in knowing if there's a way we can convince conservatives that nobody *likes* abortion. There aren't people sitting around gleefully counting down the days to their appointment at the local abortion provider or planning fetus killing parties (unbaby showers?). In actuality, it's the right's insistence on abstinence only education that is overwhelmingly to blame for putting people in the position of needing to terminate unwanted pregnancies. In a society educated in (and with access to) the use of contraception and what to do in case of failure, abortion would become largely unnecessary.

I was near tears during the opening segment -- and the whirlwind of emotion was fairly consistent throughout the rest of the show. Weighty subjects indeed.

I commend Chris for not mailing it in and speaking honestly about his feelings. Any criticism of his ambivalence is grounded in naivete or plain ignorance

Good morning, #uppers! I can only assume this terrific show is on Sunday morning because that's when the intelligent people are watching. Way too smart a show for MSNBC's prime time lineup.

Tough subject, and one that only this show would have the courage to address.

This story is heart crushingly sad. War is horrible but mental health is treatable and I only wish we were doing a better job helping our men and women who are suffering.

Well, for whatever reason, the first clip of this show just won't play on the website. I feel as if I missed some good conversation. I also feel that Amy Goodman was wasted on this particular panel. She's a brilliant woman with loads of interesting things to say. Sadly, she didn't get to contribute very much because the discussion was dominated by the business guy. Don't get me wrong, I'm always thrilled to see Amy Goodman, I just feel her presence could have been better utilized.

I'm tired of fighting with the MSNBC website to watch the first segment of yesterday's show. I'm going over to MHP and, hopefully, the problem will be fixed by the time I get back to it.

Seriously thinking stocks are just not a game most of us can play anymore; not the investment they were for previous generations...
