This one of the best shows ever created. Despite being set in the past, the stories are relevant matter when it where you grew up. That is the true test, whether it becomes of its time or continues to be relevant during anytime. The characters and their interactions with each other do not come off as contrived. This is what television is meant to be about. Not to mention, if you don't cry during the finale, you have no soul and did not understand what this show is about.
