I just recently discovered that this was released a couple years ago only in Japan. I found a copy that's translated into English and I'm hooked now just like I was when I played Earthbound/"Mother 2" on Super Nintendo like it's 1996 again haha

Playing the Starmen.net translation patched rom on my PSP which has a GBA emulator.

Just finished Mother 3. I have to say that this is a much darker than the previous game. Less irreverent, Mother 2/Earthbound had a very strong theme about confidence and introspection. Mother 3 was mostly about environmentalism before the message got lost. Still worth a play through if you loved Earthbound, and the system definitely works much smoother, but an inferior game than Earthbound.
